Featured Speaker - Suzanne Reyto
Suzanne Reyto Pursuit of Freedom - A True Story of the Enduring Power of Hope and Dreams

Susanne M Reyto, an award winning author, speaker, concerned citizen and an ardent supporter of Israel and the free world. She is an active member of several organizations including the Board of Governors of City of Hope and Hadassah where she was president. Currently she is an active participant in the preservation of our liberal democracy in Western civilization.

Her childhood experiences and her ultimate escape from Communist Hungary in the late 1950's left Susanne with an unwavering spirit of optimism and perseverance. She grew up in Australia, lived on Guam while her husband served in the US Navy and has traveled the world. Her work and writings have been featured in major US newspapers and she has appeared on television in the US and Canada. Her book, "Pursuit of Freedom" has been designated as required reading for youngsters, "The story begins where Anne Frank's Diary left off."  Her life today is balanced between family, business, philanthropy and cultural activities. Susanne is married, has one daughter and two grandchildren. When not traveling, she lives and writes in Los Angeles.

Our Constitutional Moment -
Rights and Government in the Age of Obama
 A Lecture by Seth Lipsky - February 1, 2010

Seth Lipsky is the founder of the New York Sun and its former editor-in-chief.  In addition, he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in editorial writing in 1991, the founding editor of the Forward newspaper, and a former contributing editor of the Wall Street Journal

Seth Lipsky will present a lecture and book signing on his new book, The Citizen's Constitution: An Annotated Guide.  His book provides a running commentary on the Constitution, sentence by sentence, and often clause by clause, or word by word, in a highly readable fashion, infusing every provision of the document with color and background, and highlighting its meaning in an era of big government and shrinking freedoms.

The Citizen's Constitution makes the case that Americans' age-old rights and privileges are more critical - and more in need of understanding and defending - than ever before in our history. It is a book that is both erudite and entertaining, and could not be more relevant to current events.

The lecture will be given at the Skirball Center, 2701 North Sepulveda, Los Angeles at 7:00pm on Monday, February 1, 2010 Please RSVP to or call (818)704-0523, or you can RSVP online here, or click on the graphic  below.

This will be an event not to be missed.  The cost is $10 at the door.

The San Fernando Valley Republican Club is pleased to be a co-sponsor of this enlightening presentation, along with Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors, The David Horowitz Freedom Center and the Republican Jewish Coalition.

SFVRC Business Roster
Do Business with fellow Republicans

In these tough economic times we have decided to help each other out economically.

We are preparing a business roster of Republicans for SFVRC members.  This will be merged with a county-wide business directory that is being prepared by LA County Republican Clubs.

We are encouraging all of our members to patronize the businesses of our fellow members and Republicans.  If you need goods and services, why not have them provided by your fellow Republicans?

For those of you who would like to have your business listed in our business directory, please send an email to:
BUSINESS@SFVRC.ORG .  Provide your name, the name and street address of your business, your business phone number, your business web site address, and your email address.  Also provide a description of the services you provide or the type of goods you sell.

We would like to publish this directory by May, so please send in your information.  Send an email to with the above information.
The San Fernando Valley Republican Club has a Facebook Group Page.  Please join us at:

We expect to have another great meeting of the San Fernando Valley Republican Club on Tuesday, February 2nd. I hope to see you there.

Help support the San Fernando Valley Republican Club.  There are very important elections coming up in 2010 for Assembly, State Senate, Congress and Senate, as well as statewide elections for Governor.  We want to build a war chest to use to help get Republicans elected in the San Fernando Valley.  Please consider a contribution.
