StandWithUs
Roz Rothstein Educating America about Israel

Roz Rothstein was a family therapist practicing in the state of California for 20 years prior to the relentless violence that began in Israel in 2000.

Just after the September 2000 Intifada began, Roz and her husband Jerry co-founded StandWithUs with other concerned community members, including the current international president Esther Renzer, turning all their attention to building an organization that strengthens Israel's image through education.

StandWithUs now has offices and chapters in 12 regions in the US, the UK and Israel.

Yoav SuzsYoav Susz is a StandWithUs Fellow at IDC University in Herzliya, Israel.  He is Studying Law & Government.  He has experience in overseas Delegations and representing Israel abroad.  He serves in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) as a Classification Officer.  Yoav was born in the UK but lived his whole life in Israel.

StandWithUs is an international education organization that ensures that Israel's side of the story is told in communities, campuses, libraries, the media and churches through brochures, speakers, conferences, missions to Israel, and thousands of pages of Internet resources.

StandWithUs was founded in 2001 in response to the misinformation that often surrounds the Middle East conflict, and the inappropriate often anti-Semitic language used about Israel and/or the Jewish people worldwide.

Republican Roundup - October 10th

Republican Roundup
BBQ and Family Fun

The Republican Party of Los Angeles County is sponsoring a Republican get-together on Saturday, October 10th at the Eva Jeffers Estate in La Canada from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.  This is an event to get Los Angeles County Republicans to come together for an afternoon of fun, friendship and BBQ.

Tickets are $25.00.  For every ticket we sell through our club, we will get a refund of $5.00 going to the club, which we can use for our local campaign support activities in 2010.  Please let me know if you want to buy one or more tickets and I will get them to you.  I will bring a bunch to the SFVRC meeting on October 6th.

You can see the flyer for the event here.

CRP Convention
CRP September 25-27, 2009

The California Republican Party is having its biennial convention September 25-27th at the Renaissance Esmerelda Hotel in Indian Wells.

It is a good place to come and find out how the state party works, and to participate in the sessions.  It is also a great place to network with your fellow California Republicans.  There is a great line-up of speakers.

You can get all the details on the convention by going to the CRP web site.

Western CPAC
 October 16-17, 2009
Western CPAC will be holding their convention at the Radisson Hotel in Newport Beach October 16th and 17th.  They have a great list of speakers and topics.  You can find out more by going to their web site.  This is always a great conservative event.

Speakers this year include, Jon Coupal of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association; Tim Pawlenty, Governor of Minnesota; Congressman Ed Royce; Floyd Brown, Director of the American Conservative Union and many others.  Go here to see the agenda.

 San Fernando Valley Job Board

Gary Starr and I have formed a job board.  Those looking for work can post their resumes and information on the job board for free.  Employers posting jobs will pay a nominal fee.  We are providing this job board as a service to the community and especially our members to assist you in finding a job.

To post your information go to the San Fernando Valley Job Board.

SFVRC Business Roster
Do Business with fellow Republicans

In these tough economic times we have decided to help each other out economically.

We are preparing a business roster of Republicans for SFVRC members.  This will be merged with a county-wide business directory that is being prepared by LA County Republican Clubs.

We are encouraging all of our members to patronize the businesses of our fellow members and Republicans.  If you need goods and services, why not have them provided by your fellow Republicans?

For those of you who would like to have your business listed in our business directory, please send an email to:
BUSINESS@SFVRC.ORG .  Provide your name, the name and street address of your business, your business phone number, your business web site address, and your email address.  Also provide a description of the services you provide or the type of goods you sell.

We would like to publish this directory by May, so please send in your information.  Send an email to business@sfvrc.org with the above information.
